This place is ok I've had a few different menu items and been there about five different times and sometimes the pizzas pretty good sometimes it's just ok all the other food items are decent enough the service is for the most part good I have had bad service one time but I think that was a fluke. I have seen it a few times as well when it's a little bit busy they seem to get weeded out a little bit too easy.

We ate here during Blue Plum Festival and it was insanely busy but our server took great care of us. The carnivore pizza and root beer BBQ wings were awesome!

The best pizza, handmade pasta, fresh sandwiches anywhere. Truly unexpected and amazing

Wow, the food here is amazing! Wandered in, looking for the Johnson City Brewing company...found this gem instead. Had a Sawworks brown ale with a alfredo pasta dish with roasted chicken that was so good, I didn't want to finish it...but I did, with gusto. Two beers and dinner: under 25 bucks. Nice. You should be here!

I'm updating my review. Not because the service has gotten better but because the food has. If you have good food poor service is something I can look over. I had the best BLT of my life there. It's a game changer. All their cocktails are hand crafted and they have awesome rotating taps. I eat here often now.

Best pizza place in the area and a great atmosphere! Loved the wings (especially the sriracha lime), but the pizza was ridiculous good. We had Carnivore and the Pine Street Pesto; both were fantastic! Drink prices were reasonable, and their sangria was delicious. The service was also prompt and courteous and, to me, that's as important as the food. Helped top off a great evening spent downtown!

Nice beer selection. The pizza is really good. The cheesy bread is something that you should not pass up. You may have to wait a little bit, but everything comes out fresh and there are windows everywhere, so it's a good place to people watch.

They make a mean Alfredo base pizza at MSP. The whole experience of MSP is really unmatched in JC. It is so much fun to sit , looking out to downtown, enjoying a drink, in this place. It is wonderful at nights but the service during the day is inconsistent. My wife and I once waited 3 hours for our pizza while the restaurant was only 20% full. Despite that experience we still love to go eat at MSP.

I'm no longer in town, but I've been here once or twice when I've visited and it's the best pizza I've had on the south side of town, and that includes Scratch. I really enjoed the atmosphere as well.

This place is horrid. . From what I understand, this place has always had trouble staying open, and the restaurant has changed multiple times. The food here is disgusting. I went with a friend to this restaurant on a weekday afternoon for lunch. The place looked great from the outside, and the inside was okay too. The food.... Was. Fucking. Gross. We had the "buffalo wings" for an appetizer. They brought two sauces out on the side with the wings. One they referred to as "sirachi lime" and the other was "hot". Both were gag-worthy. The pizza, which is why anyone would come here, was soggy. We had the "Barbeque Chicken Pie". It was drowned in KC Masterpiece Barbeue sauce. The chicken was obviously frozen. It looked as if it had been freezer burnt. I ate half a piece of this. I was concerned that the pizza might get me sick. The last thing was the PRICE! Way, way, too expensive. Our pizza alone was like $26! What a fucking rip off. I hate these people for even asking that much for a pizza. You've been warned. STAY AWAY! If you want amazing pizza, go to Scratch Pizza in Johnson City! That place is fresh and delicious.

The food selection and flavors are amazing. Dont ever go there in a rush as the service is always SLOW. Ill continue to go there because you cant beat the flavor.

Went there a few nights ago, and honestly it was horrible, service was beyond slow and the food itself was bland. I got a simple slice of pepperoni pizza, the sauce was horrid, and the dough was clearly undercooked, and to top it all off, the beer I ordered came to my table warm, I mentioned it to my waiter and he said "sorry, that's not my problem".

Hands down the best cocktail joint in Johnson City. Every bar on Main should be taking diligent notes from this fantastic and creative place. Strongly recommend the Days of Thunder and the Derringer. Really hope they are in the game for a long haul.

This is your standard neighborhood pizza place. The food is always pretty good, especially late night! They have the thinner style pizza but not crispy which I prefer. Prices are right in line with what you expect at a pizza place and they have a decent beer and wine menu. I haven't had any real issues with the service but alot of the times when I have gone it has been slammed or I have gone with a huge group so I expect everything to take a little bit. The restaurant is really cozy feeling and right around the corner from several of the bars in case you need some pizza grease to sop up the alcohol from all the fun you had that evening.

While on a visit to Johnson City, my friend and I came across this pizza place. She lives here and had been. We went in and fell in love. It is the perfect pizza place! The pizza is amazing and the prices are pretty good. I ordered two slices of pepperoni because I figured the slices were going to be smaller. The slices are huge! Still, I ended up eating both, it was amazing. They have so many different types of pizzas. I haven't tried anything too different but I am sure they are all good. They also serve beer which is a plus for someone who likes a beer for lunch. The service good. I saw some reviews said it was slow but I went when it was not busy so I don't know. The service was fast and the pizza was amazing!

The pizza was excellent!! The waitress, although extremely nice & friendly, was a little slow in refilling our glasses, & bringing our tab. Speedier service would have gotten them 5 stars.

Got to say that I've bad much better service the past few times I've been there, for lunch and dinner. There's probably been some staff turnover, but it also seems like even the staff I recognize as having been there for quite a while are happier and more pleasant in customer interactions than they were before. In addition, they've added fresh pasta from the local CSA to their menu and, well, YUMMMM! In any case, I think the change in attitude is deserving of a review update, for sure, but if not that, the new pasta dishes are worth checking out, and mentioning. Way to go, Main Street! Keep it up!

The food here was absolutely delicious, but we had to wait at least 45 minutes to get to eat it after ordering. It might have just been a busy time, but it took a while to get any service, even just a water refill. It's a great place to go if you are not in a rush.

Finally got a chance to eat here and it was awesome! We got the philly cheese steak pizza and it was great. The pizza crust was the best I've ever had. We got craft cocktails too that were excellent. Unfortunately, like many other reviews said the service was lacking. Our server was short and not attentive. We wanted more drinks but she just never came back and then finally came back with the check. We'll come back because the food was awesome, though.

Went around 4 PM on a Saturday with my wife and two children. They were maybe 1/4 full and most Thales were already served. Waited 15 minutes without a sever so much as coming by, no menus, no drinks. I finally had to call one down after the eighth time or so they walked right by us to serve single people or older couples. This is a HUGE pet peeve for me, especially at a PIZZA PLACE. When the waiter finally came by he made some excuse about being "short-handed" (three waiters for maybe 15 customers total?) He proceeded to give us slow, awful service with a bad attitude. I enjoyed the bruschetta appetizer well enough but my wife complained about the amount of red onion. For the main course we ordered the Quartetta, with pepperoni, spicy (VERY) Italian Sausage, capicola, and pancetta. We ordered the Alfredo sauce as a change of pace. The pizza was very salty in flavor--fine for me but not for the Missus. The food was good but with Scratch right down the road, Smokey Mountain Bakers in Roan Mountain for us Carter Countians, Mad Greek, Primos, and several other locally-owned pizza/Italian-American places to choose from, I see little reason to put up with horrible service to get OK pizza.

Two thumbs way, way up. We just had the pizza and the sauce and crust are spectacular. Nice, thin and light crust with a great full flavored sauce. We are soon to be Johnson City residents and we'll be back.

Love their pizza and salads. Great atmosphere and a nice place to visit for lunch or dinner, but the service is extremely slow. We went for lunch one day and we had to flag someone down after 15 minutes just to get our drink order and then it took over an hour just to get our salads. The server was friendly and trying her best but she seemed to be the only one there, and this scenario is not unusual for this place. I really hope management can appropriately staff Main Street because I think downtown needs a good pizza place that people can count on ordering a slice of pizza and salad and returning to work in less than 2 hours.

The service might be great the rest of the year, but steer clear of this place at Blue Plum. There is no logic behind the order of service and you You can even wait for over an hour to have the server comes back and tell you she forgot to enter your order! Perhaps, I would let this go if our party had not consisted of two elderly people and a four year old among others. It may be good the rest of the year, but at Blue Plum, eat somewhere else, like one of the vendors. At least then you'll actually get your food!

Great thinner than NY style pizza here, some really good salads and homemade dressings, ice cold beer and craftish cocktails. In a college town with this many pizza joints, and many of them very damn good, MSPCo stands out as one of the, if not THE, best. You can custom order pizza by crust, sauce (marinara, pesto, Alfredo/white sauce, bbq), cheeses, meats, veggies, etc. They have some specialty pies and Wifey says the MEATBALLER is excellent. How do you like that? You just got a twofer review! It's kinda small but we've always been able to get right in. In the rejuvenated downtown Johnson City area. I've always had good service at lunch and dinner. I asked to move tables tonight, place is half full and the server said he'd go ask the host about which table we could get...you know how I can be so I just told him to meet me at the table I've chosen for myself. Seriously, why is this a continual major issue at places about seating? Maybe it's me. Ok it's probably me. Back to the food. I'm a big fan of the Greek salad and sausage pizza, Wifey comes just for the cucumber basil gimlet. The pizza is cooked the way you'd have to specify "well done" any other place so you don't get soft uncooked doughy dough. They have decent beer specials for weekday Happy Hour (2-6PM Mon-Fri) and stay open till 4AM Thus-Sat, so the diner on the other end of downtown (Mid City Grill) isn't your only after-bar option anymore. There are a few baked pasta dishes, they make many things in house (meatballs, dressings, etc), and the prices, for good quality, are good. The menu prices include taxes so it's easy to figure your bill.

Today was my first time dining into this joint with my friends. I love the ambience here, their craft beer tasted delicious, our waiter was extremely polite and actually really cool to talk with, the cheese pizza was very good. It had a crispy crust, which I loved. The sauce was tasty and fresh, as was the cheese. I had a really nice lunch here with a cool vibe. I'll definitely be back here soon. Cheers Main Street! Hope everyone supports local!

I'm from Dallas (BIG food town, if you've not been), and I can safely say this is some of the best pizza I have ever had the pleasure of eating. We got the Spring St. Supreme and just plain cheese and both were an absolute delight. The atmosphere is very college town pizza joint-y (figures) and they seem to have a wide selection of cocktails and craft beers/sodas. The five star rating is explicitly for the pizza and the mozzarella-stuffed portobello mushrooms. The salad I had was the Farm Fresh Salad, which, while seemingly fresh, was bland and very very dry, and service was slow and not extremely friendly. But if you're anywhere near Johnson City and you like good pizza, do yourself a huge favor and stop by this place. You will definitely not regret it!

Really great pizza and open late! My husband loves their baked chicken wings as well. They have gluten free options too.
